The Information Technology Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Information Technology Department. This includes management of staff responsible for software application development, maintenance, and support, and staff responsible for network operations. The network operations team works with our core technology infrastructure components and data center. The IT Director is responsible for development of the organization?s strategic technology plans in support of Washington State Bar Association?s (WSBA?s) operational needs and serves as a technology consultant to all departments. The IT Director is responsible for developing, facilitating execution, and tracking the annual IT goals and targets and for developing and successfully executing the IT project portfolio.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Business Administration or related field. Extensive experience with managing information systems, project management, IT strategic planning, and contract negotiation is required. Experience in data center management and processes are also desired. Significant experience leading and managing entry level to senior technology staff is required. Demonstrated experience with management best practices in goal planning, project and portfolio management, and individual and team performance management. Other requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills; effective leadership skills with an emphasis on customer service; strategic and critical thinking skills; the ability to work effectively with diverse groups with varying interests while balancing needs.
